MYAS Task Tracker is run by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, for its officers and staff. This page explains what information the service holds, how it is used and who can see it. The service is not meant for children.
What we collect
- Account details. Your name, username, designation and division, and your mobile number and email address if they have been added. Your password is kept only as a one-way hash, never in readable form.
- Your work. The tasks, comments, files and documents you add, earlier versions of text that has been edited, and a record of who changed what and when.
- Technical data. A cookie that keeps you signed in, the time of your last sign-in, and standard server logs used for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- To run the service: show work to the right people, send notifications and keep a record of changes.
- To keep the service secure and to fix problems.
- We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see it
- Access follows the ministry's hierarchy. You see your own work and your division's work; leadership and administrators see more.
- Nothing is public. The one exception is a file you share with a link: anyone who has that link can open the file, and the link does not expire. Share links with care.
Services we use
- Amazon Web Services hosts the service and stores its data.
- WhatsApp alerts. Where WhatsApp alerts are enabled and your profile has a mobile number, a short alert, such as a task assigned to you, a mention or a due date, is sent to your WhatsApp through our messaging provider. You can switch this off on your profile page.
- Google Analytics may be used to count visits and see which pages are used. It records page visits and basic device, browser and approximate location information.
The WhatsApp and analytics services handle their data on their own systems.
Where it is stored
Task data and files are stored in India, in the Amazon Web Services Mumbai region. Connections to the service use HTTPS, and the database is encrypted.
How long we keep it
For as long as it is needed for the Ministry's work, and as the law requires.
Your choices
- To correct your details or close your account, ask your administrator or write to us.
- To stop WhatsApp alerts, use the switch on your profile page.
